What this site does
The pages explain how to read a FileZilla message log, how to tell a closed port from a bad password, and how FTP, FTPS, and SFTP differ in practice. The troubleshooting center sorts those failures. The setup guide shows a separate site profile for each protocol.
Everything here is educational. You apply the steps on your own computer and, when the fault is on the server, you take the log to the person who operates that server.
What this site does not do
- Official support
- Filenilla is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the FileZilla project. It cannot speak for the FileZilla project. The software is published at filezilla-project.org.
- Remote administration
- Filenilla will not sign in to your server, your hosting panel, or your computer.
- Paid help or installers
- There is no paid support desk and no Filenilla download. If you use FileZilla, obtain it from the FileZilla project.
- A live connection test
- The troubleshooter only sorts the symptom you select. It does not open a socket or see a credential.
How to use a guide
Start from the first failed line in the message log, not from the last retry. Change one setting, connect again, and read the new line. If you write to [email protected], include the protocol, the port, and that line. Do not include a password or a private key. A reply is not guaranteed.
There is no public street address. Email is the contact method, and the contact form delivers to the same inbox.
